SUZANNE ARONOFF | Suzanne Aronoff began her yoga practice in 2004 to help counteract the physical wear and tear she experienced as a massage therapist and as a competitive runner in college. She was inspired to become an instructor for two reasons: the significant benefits from her own practice and to share yoga with her massage clients in hopes they would embrace the healing qualities of yoga and feel empowered to take a more active role in their physical well-being.
TRAINING | E-RYT 200. Suzanne has been a licensed massage therapist since 1992 and is a 2012 graduate of Cleveland Yoga’s 200hr Teacher Training.
TEACHING STYLE | Suzanne’s classes are heartfelt, playful, challenging and supportive. She brings her massage background into her classes through hands on assists (maybe even a little massage during savasana) and a focus on alignment and physicality.
PATTI CALDERONI | Patti founded Academic Adventures in Yoga and Yoga With Patti in 2013. She has been an educator and yoga teacher for Hillsborough County Schools for over 15 years. She facilitates workshops for the Hillsborough District’s PE department, training teachers how to integrate yoga in the school day.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Passionate about the benefits of yoga and mindfulness for our youth, in the classroom and the community, Patti became a certified adult and children’s yoga teacher, and a graduate of the yoga ed. program: Pre K-12th grade. She holds a Master’s Degree in Management, Yoga Gangster’s Certificate – teaching yoga to At-Risk populations.
TEACHING STYLE | With Patti’s help, children and parents both benefit from the mind, body and breath practices of yoga, creating mindfulness and awareness from within. She makes play become purposeful.
KRISTEN ALEXOVICH | Kristen found yoga in 2012 and was immediately drawn to the foundation of connecting breath to body, mind and spirit. When the breath is calm, the body is relaxed, the mind is clear, and the spirit soars. It has since become her passion to foster a community where you are able to listen to and feel what your mind, body and soul is really telling you in order to come home to your true self.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Kristen has completed over 400 hours of yoga teacher training in California and Pennsylvania.
TEACHING STYLE | Kristen’s classes will create space for you to dive deep into the journey of yourself. You can expect to flow with the beat of the music while building strength, challenging your mind and maintaining alignment that is true to your body. You will be guided through a balanced practice as you learn to let go, relax and develop compassion.
ADRIANA CORSO | Adriana began practicing yoga over ten years ago. As a long time martial artist, she first sought solace in the physicality of the postures. What she found was a new way to process life. Yoga forever changed the way she walked through the world and her passion is to share the healing power of yoga with others.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Adriana is a co-founder and co-director of TeachPeace,Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening access to yoga for individuals with limited finances or other restrictive circumstances.
TEACHING STYLE | Adriana’s classes are physically challenging, with intricately designed flow sequences that beautifully transitions student from one posture to the next. She encourages strength and grace in movement in order to find the intensity, quiet, and space, necessary to cultivate the lessons that stay with us when we walk off the mat.
MALLORY DILLION | Yoga has been a part of Mallory’s life for 14 years. She started doing yoga to heal a lower back injury and was hooked on its many healing and therapeutic benefits. Five years ago, she found her gift for teaching when was encouraged to become a teacher by one of her original teachers.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Mallory completed her 200hr certification and is currently enrolled in and working towards her 500hr certification at the Asheville School of Yoga with Stephanie Keach. Mallory loves being a student and attends many workshops and retreats with Micheline Berry, Seane Corn, Kathryn Budig, Jen Smith and other inspirational teachers in Tampa and beyond.
TEACHING STYLE | Mallory’s classes are powerful, playful and heartfelt with creative vinyasa flow sequencing, arm balances, inversions. They end with a beautiful guided meditation to help deepen your practice. Her goal is to help you thrive in life by nurturing your body, mind and soul.
MARIA GROFF | Maria was born and raised in Pennsylvania and has been a lifelong athlete enjoying basketball, softball, cross-country and track. Following a back injury sustained during marathon training in 2006 she began practicing yoga and found a physical and spiritual practice that sustained and nourished her in ways she had not realized she needed. Her back injury healed and she found a deeper peace and patience off the mat as well.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Maria knew that she wanted to deepen her practice and share her mental and physical awakening and appreciation for yoga with others so she attended Annette Scott’s Foundations for the Mindful Teacher training in 2013 and achieved her RYT-200 Certification.
TEACHING STYLE | Maria aims to get your day started with movement and breath and get you centered for whatever the day will bring you.
ASHLEY HALLEY | Ashley has spent the last 30 years devoted to movement such as: dance, sports and athletic training, climbing, body surfing, boxing, functional movement, kettle bells, TRX, and yoga.
TRAINING | E-RYT 500, NASM certified trainer and weight loss specialist. She completed her 200hr and 300hr yoga teacher trainings with Shiva Rea and Micheline Berry. Her mantra is “embrace who you are, explore your potential, and evolve into the master of your best self.”
TEACHING STYLE | Ashley creates powerful holistic and creative classes that create a dynamic experience for the body, mind and soul. She uses stability, focus and power moves to train your body in all exercise platforms. Her teaching reflects her belief that we are always evolving and that when we explore something new on the mat, we find something new within ourselves. She helps the student discover that they have the spirit of a warrior, and that that can give us the grace and strength to flow with the currents of our lives.
SHELLY HAPPEL | Shelly began practicing yoga in 1995 after a severe car accident and has been teaching yoga in the Tampa Bay area for 17 years. Her massage practice specializes in light & deep touch methods (cranial-sacral, lymphatic drainage, ayurvedic massage, deep tissue, trigger point, reiki, and myo-fascial release,) and allows her to respond to her students’ needs, moment-to-moment. Her classes are mini workshops with humor & joy.
TRAINING | E-RYT 200 Shelly has trained in yoga and massage therapy with many internationally known and acclaimed teachers, and is always learning more so she can help her students and clients heal themselves.
TEACHING STYLE | Shelly has a singular style (known as “Shelly-Yoga”) that delivers a fun and therapeutic experience. She integrates yoga, anatomy, bodywork, music, comedy, and massage therapy to help you harmonize your inner & outer worlds and become your own best teacher. She is very hands-on, being “licensed to touch” and can help your yoga practice move to a more profound place where you learn to listen to your body with a compassionate and informed ear and heart. Shelly’s classes combines stretching for the neck, shoulders, back and legs, with core strengthening, self massage, and a short vinyasa flow. Some standing balance poses are added to make this class fun and accessible for all ages and experience levels. She incorporates the healing power of sound through chanting/music/meditation at the end.
BETH ANN HARDIN | Beth teaches yoga with a specific and dedicated focus on the breath. As a certified teacher and practitioner of David Elliott’s Level 1 Healer Training work, a licensed massage therapist and owner of her own healing establishment, Body & Mind Massage, for 20 years she brings the strength of her many modalities to her healing breath work classes.
TRAINING | 200 RYT. Beth completed her 200hr program with Micheline Berry. She has continued to her studies with Shiva Rae and with over 500 with Tony Nenov.
TEACHING STYLE | Beth’s teaching offers the student an opportunity to deepen the relationship with the self, breath & intuition. She also incorporates her Cherokee roots by teaching and doing space clearings & blessings, offering spiritual guidance and grief support. Her teaching is driven by the desire to help you feel your best and heal your physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental ailments. Her passion is in helping others to release anything that no longer serves while making space for more joy & peace. One of her mottos is “through tragedy is triumph!”
MARISA INFANTE | Marisa began practicing yoga while in High School here in the Tampa Bay Area; however, she truly fell in love with it three years ago due to the mind body and spirit connection. Marisa was inspired to become a yoga teacher by those teachers who helped her find her way through the beginning of her adult years. Through yoga, both teaching and taking, Marisa wishes to help all students, those that she leads in practice and those that she may practice alongside with.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Marisa entered a teaching training program with training at Core Power yoga in Dallas, Texas. She has also completed advanced + 50 hrs certification for Yoga Sculpt.
TEACHING STYLE | Marisa’s teaches both Yoga Sculpt and Hot 26&2 Fusion. Her teaching style will challenge you both mentally and physically while giving you the tools to push yourself while off the mat, all while moving to a fun and energetic beat.
AMEE JOSHI | Amee attended her first Bikram yoga class in 2005, during her residency in family practice medicine. The connection between the mind, body and spirit was palpable and Amee felt like she had found where she was meant to be. After a regular Bikram practice for a year, she explored Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga styles.
TRAINING | RYT 500. Amee entered a teaching training program with the Asheville School of Yoga and Stephanie Keach in 2009. She has also completed advanced Vinyasa, Prenatal and Yin Yoga certifications.
TEACHING STYLE | Amee’s teaching style of yoga ranges from a strong Vinyasa practice to deeply restorative. She incorporates music, poetry, and meditation into her classes.
MICHELE SMITH | As an amateur dancer and dance mentor, Michele has a great appreciation for every body’s beauty, strength and athletic ability. After enduring a serious accident and subsequent surgeries, Michele found yoga instrumental in healing physically and emotionally. When a family member was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Michele deepened her asana practice to explore spiritual connection and energy work while caring for him. Yoga has proven a constant companion in her ability to transform grief and loss in to awareness and expansion.
TRAINING | E-RYT 500. Michele completed 200hr Teacher Training with Val Spies and Karen Stephan in 2011 and went on to receive her Prenatal Yoga certification after studying with Jacci Gruninger of the Pranakriya Yoga: School of Yoga Healing Arts in 2012. She has since continued her training attaining another 300hrs of training in Yin, Restorative Yoga, Injury Recovery, Pranayama and more. Michele is an Usui Reiki Master Healer and Energy Worker since 1999. Her asana practice is enhanced with regular training and performance in Modern, Ballet and Hip Hop dance styles.
TEACHING STYLE | Michele’s style of teaching yoga focuses on the subtle/energetic body to encourage healing and transformation on a cellular level. Her classes and workshops make use of traditional movement and breath-work with attention paid to how a person functions as a whole.
NADINE LISS | Nadine was involved in a serious car accident in 2004, and sustained a traumatic brain injury. In 2009 she discovered yoga and started her journey of becoming whole again. Nadine believes in discovering the powers of a strong mind-body connection. Yoga not only brought her beyond her physical abilities but also strengthened her memory, concentration and focused her drive.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Nadine was a student of Jimmy Barkan and Kelly Green for years. In 2014, she received certification from the Yoga Joint in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She has also continued her education with Bryan Kest, Johnny Kest, Seane Corn and Rolf Gates.
TEACHING STYLE | Nadine invites students to unlock their own transformations with a regular hot yoga practice. She takes her students through a series of dynamic flow sequences challenging students to play with their edge.
KELSEY MCCOLLOM LUY | Kelsey’s passion lies in providing people with a healing and transformational experience, both inside and out. Kelsey fuses her extensive therapeutic and exercise backgrounds to serve the Tampa Bay Area as a licensed doctor of physical therapy and yoga teacher. She was drawn to yoga as a transformative tool, as it encompasses the perfect recipe for injury prevention and performance enhancement. It lengthens the muscles, while building core stability, muscular strength and endurance, mental conditioning and neuromuscular re-education for proper body alignment.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Kelsey completed her 200hr certification in 2016 with Bella Prana with Marley Vigdorth and Roni Sloman.
TEACHING STYLE | Kelsey teaches vinyasa flow, yoga tone and YogaRx (a therapeutic style of yoga). Kelsey challenges both the body and the mind, with the goal of leading fellow practitioners along a path to a successful and blissful life off the mat.
CHRISTINA MAJEED | Christina experienced her first yoga class in high school purely out of curiosity, but didn’t really fully discover yoga and its benefits until adulthood when she was looking to de-stress and bring more balance to a very work focused life. Christina is a healthcare technology executive by day and a yoga instructor by night and weekend. After experiencing the mind-body-soul connection and the positive effects that yoga brought to her life, she decided to deepen her practice and become a certified instructor.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Christina trained under Di Tyssen, and completed her teacher-training program with the Adiaya Yoga Sanctuary in St. Petersburg, FL in 2015. She has also completed continuing education workshops in meditation techniques.
TEACHING STYLE | Christina strives to create a positive and calming experience for her students while harmonizing a balance of traditional Hatha and Vinyasa flow into her classes. She looks forward to sharing the practice of yoga, and helping her students discover the powerful effect a consistent yoga practice can bring to one’s day, outlook, and life.
BIATTA MALKIEWICZ | Biatta took a Bikram class with a friend in 2010 and was instantly connected to the practice. Surprised by the strength of the mind body connection she started to share her experience with everyone. A couple years later, she desired more and started to explore Power, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga. After only a few years of practice, she felt a pull to teach and offer this experience with others.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Biatta completed Annette Scott’s Foundations for the Mindful Teacher Training in 2013.
TEACHING STYLE | Biatta’s teaching style ranges from a strong Vinyasa to a Gentle practice. She maintains a focus on breath work and incorporates music into many of her classes.
COLEEN MCGRATH | Coleen was struggling with the loss of her beloved dog and a job layoff and after attending her first yoga class, was amazed at how the practice brought a sense of peace and joy to her, both her mentally and physically. She was inspired to teach and share her passion and the benefits of yoga to everyone. Yoga reminds her to live each moment more mindfully.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Coleen attended Annette Scott’s Foundations for the Mindful Teacher training in 2013 and achieved her RYT-200 Certification.
TEACHING STYLE | Coleen teaches a Vinyasa flow style that focuses on the connection between the body, mind and breath and is accommodating to all levels of practitioner. Coleen strives to help others to find this connection and bring a sense of equanimity to the life experiences both on and off the mat.
JUSTIN ROCKETT | Justin began his yoga journey as a way to help with anxiety and to reconnect with a love for movement that was rooted in him as child through dance and gymnastics. As a Breath Healer Coach certified by David Elliot, a certified Personal Trainer, and a registered Yoga Teacher, Justin provides a safe sacred space for anyone wanting to explore a greater connection with their body.
TRAINING | E-RYT 200. Justin completed his training in the Prana Flow System with Micheline Berry and Level I Budokon Teacher Training with Cameron Shayne.
TEACHING STYLE | Justin uses techniques to restore the myofascial system in order to move deeper into postures while ultimately balancing the emotional and energetic body. He is well known for teaching from the heart and delivering a class that is supportive, therapeutic, and energizing. His inspiring playlists are geared to awaken your heart.
KRISTEN SCHNEIDER | Kristen has been teaching yoga since 2007. She was first introduced to yoga while living in rural China and immediately fell in love with the practice. She then traveled to India where she lived for six months while doing her 200hr teacher training. She often travels back to further her studies in Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Yin yoga.
TRAINING | E-RYT 200. Kristen did her 200hr training in Rishikesh, India at Yog Peeth.
TEACHING STYLE | Her teaching style is dynamic, creative, and sweet. As an Ayurveda Practitioner, Kristen treats the yoga practice as an additional avenue for wellness. She often incorporates guided breathing exercises and meditations into her classes. Kristen teaches in Orlando, Tampa, and at international retreats and festivals.
NICHOLL BING | Nicholl began a yoga practice over 10 years ago when she was looking for a mental break from life. She found herself continuing to return to her mat because it was the only time she was able to remain in the present moment. Her practice has evolved over the years, at times meeting her need to move physically and at times allowing her to quiet her mind and open spiritually. She believes that the practice of yoga is unique as it meets everyone exactly where they are.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Nicholl completed her 200hr training at Bella Prana in Tampa. She is currently studying under Marley Vigdorth as she works towards earning her 500hr certification.
TEACHING STYLE | Her classes are playful, challenging, and meditative in nature. She strives to teach to all levels of yogis in the room. During her classes you will be encouraged to breathe while you work your physical body and mind.
ANNETTE K. SCOTT | Annette is a licensed Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Functional Movement Trainer. Her 13-year career has been spent integrating her love of Yoga, Bodywork, Aromatherapy, energy work and functional and dynamic exercise.
TRAINING | E-RYT 500. Annette was inspired to become a yoga teacher through her extensive work with Forrest Yoga Guardian, Cheryl Deer. She completed her 200hr and 300hr teacher trainings at Asheville School of Yoga with Stephanie Keach. Annette is a lifelong learner and continues to draw from functional movement teachers like Doug Keller, Tom Meyers, Naudi Aguilar and Ido Portal.
TEACHING STYLE | Annette’s classes combine intelligent and challenging sequencing with strong Vinyasa flows. You can expect to move through balancing, binding, standing and twisting sequences while also receiving hands on assists that enable practitioners to feel and play with the edges of their practice.
CAROLINE SOMBAT | Caroline began practicing yoga over a decade ago and turned to yoga teacher training to deepen both her physical and spiritual practice. Yoga has always remained a steady uplifting constant; a source of great strength, love, acceptance, and awakening, especially amongst the familiar stresses of motherhood or parenting, a full time corporate career and the positive and negative emotional shifts we all experience on a daily basis. She loves that yoga and meditation meet you exactly where you are while providing space and clarity to grow beyond your wildest imagination.
TRAINING | RYT 200 under the guidance of Di Tyssen in St. Petersburg with additional certification in Yin yoga through Guruv Studio in Orlando. Caroline is also immensely grateful for the continuous teachings from her mentor and teacher, Marley Vigdorth.
TEACHING STYLE | Inspired by a strong Hatha and Vinyasa flow practice, Caroline’s classes blend thoughtful sequencing, yogic wisdom and philosophy, and aromatherapy. She strives to help others connect with their most honest self and brings a sense of freedom and kindness to her classes. Caroline believes through our asana & meditation practice, we create a ripple effect of compassionate loving and living and she is honored to share in this journey with you.
VALARIE YUSKAITIS | Valarie began practicing yoga in 2010 as a means to stretch and prevent injury. As a lifetime runner and new triathlete, she was searching for relief from the aches of intense training. She found that the more she practiced yoga, the better she felt and her performance improved as well. She began to spend more time on the mat, including during her pregnancy, and found that the practice was transforming more than her body; yoga had increased her ability to manage stress and improved her mental focus.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Valarie completed her 200hr yoga teacher training certification in 2016 with Lucky Cat Yoga, Eric and Erin Wheeler. She now has aspirations of completing her RYT 500.
TEACHING STYLE | Valarie’s teaching style incorporates Vinyasa Flow and Power with a strong focus on the breath work. Her sequences offer both the experienced and newer practitioner options. With the knowledge that every day is different, Valarie believes we should listen to our intuition to determine the best way to practice each time we arrive on our mat; honoring where we are at in that moment. As an avid music lover, she integrates purposeful music into her classes to help you synchronize breath with movement and sink deeper into the asana.
STEPHANIE THOMPSON | Stephanie Thompson has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. Her practice has made her strong and flexible and helps her live a balanced life. She loves yoga and sharing it as teacher even more. Just like other physical activities, starting yoga at an early age means the body grows up knowing more is possible. That knowledge is what has inspired Stephanie to teach Kids Yoga.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Stephanie received her 200hr certification after attending Annette Scott’s Foundations for the Mindful Teacher training in 2013.
TEACHING STYLE | Stephanie teaches both Slow Flow and Kid’s Yoga classes. Her promise is to make classes fun and engaging. She believes in building a strong foundation of joyful movement and confidence for whatever adventures lie ahead.
TAMMY THOMPSON | Tammy began practicing yoga almost 20yrs ago as a counterbalance to long distance running, but it was after she had children in 2001 that she really started to see the calming influence that a regular practice had on her.
TRAINING | RYT 200. She completed her teacher training with Erin and Eric Wheeler of Lucky Cat Yoga, and has advanced training in Yoga Nidra through Jennifer Reiss out of Kripalu.
TEACHING STYLE | Tammy has a focus in yoga nidra and works to bring the mind/body/breath connection together through this style of guided meditation. Tammy also teaches a gentle vinyasa flow as a way to warm up the body and to better prepare the mind for guided relaxation. With a different theme for every class, no two classes are ever exactly the same.
MARLEY VIGDORTH | Initially it was the physical intensity that drew Marley to her first yoga class in 2001. Over the years the practice has evolved into a way to connect to body, mind and spirit.
TRAINING | E-RYT 200 In 2006 Marley received her first 200 hr training through Corepower Yoga. Since then she has completed over 600 hours of training most notably with Ana Forrest, Shiva Rea, and is currently completing her 500 hour certification with Janet Stone.
TEACHING STYLE | Marley’s classes are rooted in offering students an opportunity to explore and challenge themselves in a welcoming environment. She encourages mindful awareness in sequences that are both creative and purposeful. Whether looking for a physically dynamic experience or time to internally pause within the heart, Marley supports each student’s unique intention.
MELISSA VOGT | Melissa’s intense passion for yoga was forged after her first Bikram yoga class. She was instantly hooked by the physical and mental challenges the series offer and as she continued to deepen her practice, she was delighted to discover the healing and unifying power of yoga – body, mind and soul. Physically, she was thrilled to find relief from back pain due to scoliosis. Mentally and emotionally, she felt sane.
TRAINING | RYT 200. Melissa completed her 200hr yoga teacher training with Evolation Yoga in 2010. She has continued her education with Bikram Choudhury, Rajashree Choudhury, Rodney Yee, Collen Saidman-Yee and Gary Krafstow with Viniyoga Therapy.
TEACHING STYLE | Melissa encourages others to make life changing transformations by cultivating and nurturing a healing yoga practice as they go inward on their own journey of self-exploration.
JESSICA TAING | Jess was brought to the yoga mat through her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practice in 2016. Though she began practicing in hopes of increasing muscular strength and flexibility, she found that the benefits of yoga extend beyond physical aspects of the practice. Inspired by yoga to live her life fully, she is currently pursuing her second bachelors degree in biology at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. She hopes to one day dedicate her life to killer whale conservation/research, and, of course, yoga.
TRAINING | RYT 200 In 2016, Jess completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training at Bella Prana. She is currently in Marley Vigdorth’s Mentor Program and hopes to achieve her 500 HR certification in the future.
TEACHING STYLE | Jess enjoys sharing the ancient practice of yoga with yogis of all skill-levels. Her classes are vinyasa-based with yogic philosophy sprinkled into the mix. She encourages students to embrace both the physical practice of yoga and the unlimited mental benefits of the art.
